Note: To see the new features and bug fixes for each new version of either the RMS Client or RMS Server, see What's New.
There are two pieces to the RMS application: RMS Client and RMS Server. If there is an important bug fix in one of the components, you don't necessarily need to install the other component. See the What's New topic Version Name Convention section for an explanation of when only one component may be updated.
If you must update both components, it is recommended to Update RMS Server first and then Update RMS Client.
