Historical LE Status Report

This report does a lot of legwork for you.  It determines the load / empty / empty at origin (loading point or plant) status of each railcar for a given time period.  It can take a while to run because it needs to a) determine what pool(s) each railcar belonged to during this given time period and b) whether each railcar was in active status or not (if the railcar was inactive, it won't be counted).  The report is very helpful in determining how many active railcars you had during a historical period without having to keep print outs and various other paper records.

Note that the report only samples one (1) out of every seven (7) days in the historical period given to analyze.  This is done because the program would simply take too long to run otherwise.

Follow these step-by-step instructions to run the report:
From the Main Menu , open the Management Reports window.Double-click on the Railcar Utilization: Historical LE Status entry in the Reports list box.It is recommended that you run the report for a one (1) day period first and gauge how long it took to run.  With this information you can then determine how long of a period you would like to analyze given your time constraints. You will be prompted to enter a historical period, do that and click the Continue command button.  While RMS analyzes the database and gathers the data for the report, you will be informed of the progress at the bottom of the window in the Status Bar.
